NEU Competitive Program Registration Fee & Estimated

Expenses 2013-2014 Season

NEU strives to provide as much transparency as possible to families regarding the total cost of participating in the Competitive Program. Three categories of expenses typically constitute the total cost of participating in competitive soccer with Northeast United:

1) Annual Registration Fee

For the upcoming 2013-14 year: NEU U11-U14 player fee is $1300.

This fees includes: Fall and Spring league fees, 2-3 trainings per week, coaching salaries, registration costs & insurance, field fees for trainings and games, 3 tournaments, winter academy, goal keeper training, soccer equipment, and club operations.

2) Uniforms and Related Equipment Fee (typically every 2 years)

All new players are required to purchase the NEU Competitive uniform kit for the 2013-14 season. Returning players may need to purchase new uniform pieces if the team is due for a new uniform. NEU will offer a base kit (game jerseys, shorts, socks, warm-up top, training t-shirt, and backpack) with optional extra pieces (sweat suit, training jersey, rain jacket, etc.). Players are responsible for own shoes, shinguards, and soccer ball.

For the upcoming 2012-2013 year: NEU Nike Uniform Kit will be from $175-$200.

3) Miscellaneous Expenses

During the year, there may be expenses to cover optional program costs such as participation in additional tournaments, winter futsal, personal travel to games outside the Portland Metro area, and team social activities. Teams will also be responsible for their coaches expenses when traveling to games outside of a 50 mile radius of Portland.

For the upcoming 2012-2013 year: Miscellaneous Expenses are estimated to be between $100- $200.

Financial Aid

Players and families in need of financial assistance to cover fees and expenses are encouraged to apply for financial assistance to pay for a portion of the registration fee.
